Popsicles!

Ava and I made Popsicles last night. She was so excited to eat them today! We made two different kinds:
Strawberry Creamsicle and Strawberry Orange Creamsicle.

Here is what Ava thought...

And here is Dempseys opinion...btw...she's lying....

I thought they were pretty good. The strawberry creamsicles are made with pureed strawberries and greek yogurt. I am not a fan of greek yogurt. It is really bitter to me. So I was a bit skeptical about them but they were good. They were really bitter to me though. I think next time I will add some Splenda or something. The Orange Strawberries were also pretty good. Too orange juicy for my liking but still nice. And they were filling as well since they have cream and/or yogurt. So thumbs up...next time will make a few changes tho!

Mod Sailor Dress

So proud of myself right now! Made these dresses in a few hours...ish...I found a tutorial on Pinterest. Super easy and super SUPER cute!!! Red for Ava and blue for Demps

Road Tripping

I am way over planning for our Disney trip! I am in the process of "crafting" a bunch of stuff to take in the car to keep the girls busy for the trip. I keep finding more and more things to make! I need to stop with the Pinterest already! Anyway, I figured I would post some of the things I am making for the trip!

Lacing cards. I was going to print them out and make them super cute, but then I figured foam may be easier and more durable for a 3 year old to use! So I got my cookie cutters for shapes and all the foam I had in the house. The foam I used was sticky on the back so I decided to stick two together and then cut out the shapes. That way the thickness might be easier to handle and more sturdy.

Don't judge my shapes okay? It was hard to cute the foam doubled up and since some of the cookie cutters I used were small, I had to cute them bigger and so they might be a bit funny shaped!
I have a bit of yarn as well. I will just tape off the end so Ava can lace it thru the holes..
These are pipe cleaner busy games. Ava will (hopefully) be able to color match and Demps can just shove them in the holes. I used a yogurt container and a pringles container to make them.
I poked holes in the top and put page reinforces around the holes. Then I colored them to match the pipe cleaners.
I put scrapbook paper around them, just so they weren't so ugly!
If they get bored with putting them in the holes, they can play with the pipe cleaners themselves. Shaping them into things and making shapes and designs and letters.

I made 2 Button Snakes. I sewed the buttons on the ends of a strip of ribbon and cut out shapes with felt.
This busy game is just for Demps. All she does is push the Pompoms thru the holes!
Ah, more pom poms!!! This took me forever! I hot glued flat magnets on the bottom of each pom pom. The kids can then make pictures and designs on their cookie sheets
Story time!!! This is my "felt board". I colored a bunch of pictures that I printed out. I then covered them with contact paper on both sides and cut them out. I stuck a magnet on the back and Ta-Da! Story boards!
I did a bunch: "Going On A Lion Hunt", "Farmer in the Dell", "Hungry Hungry Caterpillar", "5 Little Ducks", "5 Little Speckled Frogs", "5 Little Monkeys", "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and a bunch of farm animals to sing "Old McDonald"

And lastly...I refuse to pay more money to Disney! Inside the park, they have a Boutique where you can pay a small fortune to have your little one glittered up and dressed like a princess. Our first morning in Disney, we are doing our breakfast with the Princesses. I went to Walmart and got some cheap make up and glitter and made my own Princess kit.
I have glitter, blush, lip gloss and nail gems. I plan to do her hair all pretty and dress her in her Snow White dress. I have got Demps a Belle dress. I think Ava will love it! Can't wait until next weekend!!!

Purpose of this blog...

Basically, I am addicted to Pinterest. I have found many MANY great and easy crafty and foody ideas that I want to try! This blog will chronicle my adventures and misadventures via Pinterest! It may be slow going as I don't have as much time as I would like to craft and bake and all that good stuff. So stay tuned and keep on pinning!
